Frame Selection

Your eyeglasses say a lot about your individual personality as well as your personal style choices. At Today’s Vision Creekside, we understand the importance of your frame selection. When it comes to choosing frames, Dr. Davoodi is here to help our patients in Tomball and The Woodlands find the perfect pair of glasses.

Frame Selection

Choosing Frames for Your Face Shape

Your face shape plays a significant role in the selection of new eyeglass frames. While your best friend may look great in a certain style, it doesn’t mean that you will look good in that same style of frames. This is because everyone has a different face shape, so you must choose frames that complement the shape of your face.

For instance, if you have an oval, oblong, or round face, it is best to choose eyeglass frames with sharper angles (no round frames) to take the focus away from the roundness of the face. If you have a diamond or square face, then rounded frames are more likely to look better on you since they will soften the features of your face.

For those with heart-shaped faces, you can probably pick just about any style and it will complement your face. Are you unsure what shape face you have? Don’t worry; our eye doctor will identify the shape of your face and help you choose the best frames to complement your features.

Selecting Frames for Your Lifestyle

You may not realize just how important it is, but you must consider your lifestyle when selecting the right frames. For instance, if you have a physically demanding occupation or you are very active, then it is crucial to choose frames made of a durable material, such as titanium. While plastic glasses are lightweight, there will be a higher risk of them breaking as you go about your day.

If you have an allergy to any kind of material, this must be taken into consideration as well. Most people with allergies will choose hypoallergenic PVC frames. Titanium frames are hypoallergenic as well. If you are unsure which frames would be best suited for your lifestyle, our optometrist can help.
