Dr. May Davoodi was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana and attended the University of Houston for her undergraduate and graduate degree. After receiving a Bachelor and Master of Science from the University of Houston, she obtained a second Bachelor and Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
During her graduate studies, Dr. Davoodi was a clinical instructor for Physics and Biology. Her extensive clinical training includes UT’s Robert Cizik Eye Clinic, The Philadelphia VA Hospital, The Eye Institute of Philadelphia and specialty scleral lenses for corneal abnormalities.
For almost a decade, Dr. Davoodi has worked full time in private practice, with a clinical focus on scleral lenses, custom contact lenses, and corneal pathology. She works very closely with patients and corneal specialists in managing keratoconus, corneal transplants, corneal dystrophies, and irregular astigmatism. Her scleral lens success rate has drastically improved patient’s functional vision and quality of life. She utilizes the latest techniques and technology to assist in optimal vision improvement.
In the past, Dr. Davoodi has been an officer in local optometry societies. She is very active in the greater Creekside community and strives to create healthy lives, with healthy eyes. In addition to serving her community, Dr. Davoodi enjoys the outdoors with her husband Jeff and their son Cameron. She is well traveled and versed in culture, food, fitness and language. In her office, she can accommodate to English, Spanish, and Farsi speaking patients.
